Registering a home built firearm?
I want to clarify a few things. You do not need a FFL 7 license to produce firearms as long as they are for YOU and are NOT intended for sale or transfer. None of these laws apply as long as they are in YOUR possession. These are 100% legal semi automatic rifles. In fact you are not even required to put a serial number on it. For you idiots that think this is illegal, why do you think build parties still occur? Building your own rifle from a flat and a parts kit is perfectly legal as long as you use the required amount of US parts as well as put other things such as non detachable magazine.
ON THAT NOTE. How do I register a built gun in CA or do I even need to?
BTW its not a zip gun because these rifles dont classify as one. A CA legal AK 47 build is perfectly legal
kalifornistan does not actually have registration. And if you have built the reciever yourself bought a flat and shaped it yourself there is nothing there saying you have to notify anyone. But if you bought the reciver you still have to go through all the normal processes such as the DROS and waiting period. And it will have to fall withing the legal bounds.
The only time you will have to notify the state is if you decide to transfer it someday.
