I have a 2005 cheve cobalt 2.2L I have a missing Front airbag sensor !?
Hi, I have a 2005 Cheve Cobalt ,2.2L ,4Drs had an accident but no airbags deployed just minor in the top front. I had the mechanics fixed the car but somehow the Front impact airbag sensor [The one in front of the engine right on the top of the radiator] is missing that is it. Now, I have airbag light ON on the dash board obviously. I need this sensor it is on Ebay 40 box [Cheap] got GM part number and everything. The seller said it is brand new. I need to buy this and install it in my car, it is easy to install just plug in the cable and that is it, but will this sensor deploy my airbags when I install it or no? Also is the airbag light on the dash will go OFF or no? What should I do? What is needed to be done here? Deal is expensive.

You can purchase the sensor and simply plug it it. If you want to be perfectly safe, disconnect the battery and wait 10 minutes for the system to discharge

If the light is flashing on your car it’s telling you there’s a problem. On some vehicles, the light is flashing a two digit code. Once you know the code, you can most likely repair it yourself. There are fairly easy procedures that most people are capable of repairing.
