Chone Figgins Back To Anaheim?
According to a “National League executive,” the Mariners would be “be doing cartwheels” if Chone Figgins gets claimed off waivers this month, reports ESPN’s Jerry Crasnick.

figgins was a big part of the angels offense and they can really use him again…would they claim him off waivers
I am a huge fan of the Angels and loved Chone Figgins when he was a member. Still, there is no chance that the Angels will claim him. They didn’t want to pay the guy 9 million a year to begin with, now he’s hitting .240 and has been very unproductive. They also have Maicer Izturis who is also having a bad year, but is one of those utility guys that can play multiple positions, plus aybar who has been a good prospect for some time and is playing pretty well. Also if Brandon Wood ever produces like everyone thought he would, they’d be set at the hot corner. I love Figgins, but just don’t see it happening.
